Karimnagar: Commissioner of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, Valluru Kranthi has instructed function hall owners not to allow functions for celebrations in the wake of Covid outbreak. Only those, who obtained prior permission from the government, should be allowed to celebrate functions with limited members by following covid norms.

The Commissioner conducted a meeting with the owners of function halls to discuss the Covid norms and sanitation works to be taken up in halls at MCK meeting hall here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Kranthi sought cooperation from community hall owners to check the spread of the virus. She wanted the owners to rent halls to the people, who got permission from the government and warned to take action if anybody failed to follow guidelines.

According to government norms, there was a permission for 40 members to take part in a function and owners should implement government orders besides ensuring less members to take part in celebrations. Besides following Covid norms, sanitation activities should also be taken up frequently to maintain halls clean. It was the responsibility of owners to ensure physical distance by the people while participating in functions.
