Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Bharatiya Janata Party State president and MP, Bandi Sanjay and others for allegedly putting up a hoarding showing the party’s flag on the historic monument Charminar with a malicious intention to create communal tension here on Friday.
The complainant Syed Abdahu Kashaf, in his complaint to the Abid Road police, said the hoarding and banners were designed in such a way that the BJP flag was placed on the Charminar, which he said was not only a historic monument, but also a place of worship to a community.
“The BJP is trying to trigger communal tension in Hyderabad. The banner was set up by hate mongers, who are trying to disturb peace,” the complainant said. The police are verifying the facts and said necessary action would be taken based on evidence and legal opinion.
