Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against journalist Naveen Kumar alias Teenmaar Mallanna for allegedly making derogatory comments against Labour Minister Malla Reddy at Ghatkesar on Monday.

A complaint lodged by followers of the Minister have asked the police to book a case against Naveen Kumar for spreading fake news about the Minister. The police said the issue was being verified and that legal opinion would be sought, after which necessary action will be taken.

Naveen Kumar, who recently contested and lost as an independent candidate in the Graduates constituency MLC polls, has made the alleged comments on his YouTube channel.
