Complete Akkannapet-Medak railway works by Dasara: Harish

When the Divisional Engineer South Central Railway (SCR) Sadarma informed Harish Rao that they need Rs 25 crore more to complete the project, Rao assured them that the State government would release the amount immediately.

Medak: Finance Minister T Harish Rao instructed the officials to complete the Akkannapet-Medak railwayline works on a war footing to launch the train services within four to five months.

When the Divisional Engineer South Central Railway (SCR) Sadarma informed Harish Rao that they need Rs 25 crore more to complete the project, Rao assured them that the State government would release the amount immediately.

The Minister inaugurated MLA camp office in Medak which was constructed with an outlay of Rs 1 crore and a diagnostic hub on the premises of the hospital which was built with a budget of Rs 1.35 crore.

During a review meeting on the railway line with officials of SCR and district administration on Sunday, the Minister asked them to complete the Akkannapet-Medak railway line works by Dasara festival. Saying that they had already granted Rs 40 crore State government’s share during the last March, the Minister promised to release the remaining Rs 25 crore.

MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Collector S Harish, MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy, MLA M Padmadevendar Reddy, Ádditional Collector G Ramesh and others were present.
