Complete development works in Grama Panchayats on war footing: Harish Rao

Harish Rao expressed disappointment over the functioning of Panchayati Raj department officials and sarpanches

Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has asked sarpanches to take up the responsibility of completing developmental works in their respective villages.

Addressing a meeting with sarpanches of Siddipet Rural Mandal here on Thursday, the Minister called upon them to act as a leader of the village.

Enquiring about the progress of various developmental works undertaken in the villages, Harish Rao expressed disappointment over the functioning of Panchayati Raj department officials and sarpanches, and suggested that they change their working style to fast track the works in villages.

The Minister asked them to complete Mission Bagiratha, electricity, vaikuntadhamas, dump yards, Palle Prakruthi Vanams, new panchayat office buildings and community halls for different communities on a war-footing.

MLC Farooq Hussain, SUDA (Siddipet Urban Development Authority) Mareddy Ravindar Reddy, DPO Parathasarathi, Superintending Engineer Srinivasa Chary, MPDO Sammi Reddy and others were present.
