Peddapalli: In-charge District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri on Friday instructed the officials concerned to complete all Palle Pragathi works by December 15.  The Collector was speaking after inspecting Palle Pragathi works in Bamlanaik Thanda and Kannala of Palakurthi mandal and Raghavapur and Appannapet of Peddapalli mandal on Friday.

The Collector said that in order to provide basic facilities in every village, the State government has decided to develop nurseries, dumping yards, tractors and tankers, vykuntadams, palle prakruthi vanams, compost sheds and others.

Emphasising the need to speed up works, she wanted to complete palle prakruthi vanams by December 15. While touring in villages, MPDOs must examine compost sheds. Every house was provided two separate dustbins to drop wet and dry garbage, she informed and asked officials to educate people to drop garbage separately.

Stressing the need for implementation of Haritha planning, she advised officials to make villages as Haritha Vanams by involving the local people. Besides planting trees on either side of the road, measures should also be taken to protect them, she said. Collector also instructed to arrange green fencing around vykuntadams and compost sheds.

Instructing the officials to give top priority to sanitation, the Collector asked authorities to constitute special teams to carry out surprise checkings and take action against negligent officials.

Later, she inspected rythu vedhika bhavan and paddy procurement center in Raghavapur. Besides procuring paddy, measures should also be taken to make payments to farmers, she instructed.
