Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday asked the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to complete the pending promotions of teachers immediately and asked the Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy to look into it. The service rules of employees should be in such a manner that other States would learn from us”, he said. The retirement benefits should be handed over to the employee concerned on the day of retirement after felicitating at the office and dropping him or her at their residence in the office vehicle.

The move is aimed at recognizing the good work done during the service. This will also enable new employees to work effectively. “I already told the Chief Secretary about this. Some departments are implementing it while others are not doing it,” he said.
