Visakhapatnam: BJP State president Somu Veerraju has advised the Andhra Pradesh government to complete the pending projects in the State.

Addressing a round table conference on ‘Resources-challenges in AP’ here on Sunday, he stated that there were many projects pending for the past 30 years in the state. The Centre had given Rs.11,000 crore for Polavaram project till date and he would request for more funds.


“The state government claims that it has spent Rs.64,000 crore on welfare schemes. But don’t you think irrigation and drinking water projects are more important?” he asked, demanding the government to concentrate on completing all the pending projects.
