Hyderabad: VIT AP University, Amaravati, has virtually organised the first International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering & Material Science (ICAMEMS).
Speaking on the occasion, Buimerc Corporation Ltd., UAE, Executive Chairman, and CEO, S Balchandran emphasised the role of mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering in building the block of current technologies.
Dr Mohammad Younis, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Binghamton University, State University of New York, USA, motivated students to make use of the conference to develop technologies based on the challenges society faced.
VIT Founder and Chancellor, Dr G Viswanathan spoke on the contribution of the VIT group of institutions in research and said the university’s alumni were doing well in various industries across the globe.
VIT-AP Vice-Chancellor, Dr SV Kota Reddy highlighted the role of multidisciplinary research and innovation for the development of technologies with patent filing.
ICAMEMS Convenor, Dr. PS Rama Sreekanth said there were six invited talks by speakers from reputed institutes and universities.
About 1,000 participants from 25 states and 13 countries were taking part in the event for which 120 articles were accepted for publication.
During the three-day event which will conclude on Monday, the participants will present the research findings in the areas of materials and mechanical engineering for the benefit of the scientific community.
Dr CLV Sivakumar, Registrar, VIT-AP, faculty, scholars, and staff also took part in the event.
