Hyderabad: The Congress on Monday approached the National ST Commission Member Jatothu Hussain Nayak and appealed to initiate stern action against those involved in the attack on Vikarabad Collector Prateek Jain and KADA Special Officer Venkat Reddy.

The National ST Commission Member is in Lagacherla to interact with farmers and villagers.

During the meeting with Hussain Nayak, Dornakal MLA from Congress Ramchander Naik along with MP Balram Naik and MLA Balu Naik, alleged that the BRS was instigating the farmers against the government.

In a video clip that is going viral on social media platforms, MLA Ramchander Naik is seen saying that those who were arrested did not have lands. He also appealed to the Commission Member that while ensuring justice to tribal farmers, development would not be hindered.

Pointing out the Congress party’s hypocrisy, BRS leader Manne Krishank on X said “Tribal Farmers were arrested by Congress. Tribal women were molested and beaten by Congress Government. Congress Represntatives defend their Government atrocities by saying these Farmers do not have Lands. Shame…”

After hearing the Congress leaders version, Hussain Nayak said many complaints were being lodged about the atrocities against women and children.

“We will check both the versions,” he said.
