Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the Congress government was banking on the support of women voters for continuing in power in the State.

The State government was aiming to transform one crore women as crorepatis. With the support of all these one crore women, the Congress government was planning to come to power for the second term in the State, he said here on Saturday after formally launching the We Hub – Women Acceleration programme.

Addressing the gathering, he said the government had allotted space for women self-help groups to establish their stalls at Shilparamam in the city. This apart, efforts were on to increase the women enrolment in the SHGs to one crore, he said.

Already, 1,000 MW solar power production contract was offered to women SHGs. If they perform well, another 1,000 MW solar power production contract would be sanctioned, the Chief Minister said.
