Sangareddy: Congress leaders and cadre burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Sangareddy, holding them responsible for the raw deal Telangana got in the Union Budget.

Narayankhed MLA Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy said the Union government had ignored the requests of the Telangana government though Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented multiple representations seeking budget allocation for different projects. He said that BJP MPs and two Union ministers from the State also failed to get justifiable budget allocations in the Union Budget.

Stating that the BJP had lost the right to question Congress in Telangana, Reddy said that these BJP MPs should explain to the people what they did for the State’s cause for sending them to Lok Sabha.
