Congress leader Sampath Kumar said BJP was vitiating the peaceful atmosphere in Hyderabad to benefit politically
Hyderabad: AICC secretary SA Sampath Kumar, describing BJP state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar as a crack fellow, said the latter was not even fit to be a municipal councilor but was leading a national party’s State unit. Coming down heavily on BJP, the Congress leader said BJP was vitiating the peaceful atmosphere in the city to benefit politically.
Addressing media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Kumar called upon Sanjay to maintain some decorum. “He has no shame in dividing people on communal lines. BJP thinks that it is invincible after winning Dubbak by election,” he said.
Former TPCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah said that BJP‘s national leaders were making a beeline to Hyderabad despite the fact that they had done nothing for Telangana.
“Smriti Irani, who has not allocated a single Navodaya school to Telangana, came here to campaign. BJP leaders must tell the people what they have done for the State before they ask for votes in the GHMC elections,” he said.
The Congress leader also criticised BJP for inviting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to campaign for the GHMC elections. “Yogi created havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Is he coming to Hyderabad to repeat the same here?” he questioned.
