Hyderabad: Demanding the State and Central Governments to procure paddy produced in the Telangana, the State unit of Congress party is staging a demonstration from Public Gardens to Agriculture Commissioner office, Nampally here on Thursday.
Raising slogans and holding placards, the Congress party leaders are demanding the State and Central Governments to stop politicizing the paddy procurement issue and rescue the farmers.
TPCC vice president Mallu Ravi found fault with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for participating in the dharna at Indira Park. The Chief Minister should stage protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the BJP Government and prove his commitment towards farmers welfare, he demanded.
