Hyderabad: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s recent outburst against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the party high command has become a major concern for the Telangana Congress.
Expressing frustration over repeated criticism from the MLA, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the party’s Disciplinary Committee had been instructed to examine the matter.
“We need to understand the real intention behind Rajgopal Reddy’s comments. The Disciplinary Committee has been directed to look into his outburst,” Mahesh Kumar Goud said.
In recent days, Rajgopal Reddy has openly criticised the Chief Minister and party leadership for not offering him a cabinet position. On Friday night, while addressing party workers at Yellagiri village in Yadadri Bhongir district, he raised concerns about fund allocations.
The MLA alleged that resources were being prioritised for the Chief Minister’s Kodangal constituency, while Munugode was being neglected. He highlighted pending road contractors’ bills and a reluctance among contractors to take up new works. “Despite approaching the concerned Minister, there has been no progress,” he added.
Criticising the Chief Minister directly, Rajgopal Reddy remarked: “You want positions and funds as well. I can bear injustice to myself, but not to Munugode.”
