Siddipet: Differences between two Congress groups came to fore in Siddipet during Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s programme, as one group ignored another leader in the flexi banners they erected during the meeting.
District Congress Committee (DCC) President Tukumunta Anksha Reddy and Pujala Harikrishna, who contested from Siddipet assembly constituency in last elections, erected the flexi banners close to each other. While Anksha Reddy ignored the pictures of Harikrishna, the latter ignored the former’s pictures in the flexi banners.
Harikrishna and Anksha Reddy, former Gajwel MLA Tumukunta Narsa Reddy’s daughter, had competed for DCC president post. However, Narsa Reddy put all his efforts into the post for his daughter. Harikrishna, who moves closely with Munampally Hanunamantha Rao, printed the photos of Mynampally on his flexi banners.
The two groups have been fighting with each other every now and then over all the issues. The flexi banners created confusion among the Congress cadres. Interestingly, followers of these leaders placed the flexi banners side by side, which made the rivalry open to everyone.
