Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao charged the Congress government in Telangana with betraying the State’s unemployed youth by failing to deliver on its promises to provide two lakh government jobs every year.

He criticised the State government for taking credit for 55,143 jobs for which notifications were released and exams were conducted under the BRS regime.

Taking to X on Monday, Rama Rao reminded that the Congress promised to create two lakh jobs per year. However, the government is falsely taking credit for filling 55,143 jobs, though notifications were issued and exams were conducted for them under the BRS regime.

“The Congress government gave notifications, conducted exams and managed to fill only 12,527 positions over the last one year. They owe 1,87,473 jobs to the unemployed youth of Telangana,” he said.

He pointed out that while the BRS government ensured employment through proper notifications and examinations, the Congress failed to implement a job calendar and fulfill its commitments.

The BRS working president said the Congress used empty rhetoric to gain power and then ignored the promises made to the youth. “What we see today is not youth development but disappointment. The Congress has cheated the youth with false promises before elections, and now they are spending time with hollow claims,” he said.

He assured that the BRS would hold the Congress accountable for every unfulfilled promise. “Telangana will respond fittingly to the Congress’s betrayals,” he warned.
