Sangareddy: Former Minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress government of filing false cases against BRS social media convenor Manne Krishank and seven other BRS workers.
Speaking to mediapersons after meeting Krishank and other BRS workers in Sangareddy Central Jail on Tuesday, Harish Rao accused the Congress of filing cases against the BRS leaders to just suppress their voices from questioning the government’s failures and standing by the people.
Rao described the Congress administration as “autocratic rule” as it was suppressing the voices of people. He said that Krishank had attempted to file a case against a man who was posting false information on social media against the BRS leaders and party.
Krishank tried to take the mobile phone of a man who was making false posts on the BRS leader since the mobile contained all the evidence. However, the former minister said that the police did not file any cases against the man who posted false posts on social media.
He said that the Police filed non-bailable cases against Krishank as he just tried to file cases against those who were spreading false and misleading information on social media. Rao said that the magistrate had removed the non-bailable case against him since it was just a mobile confiscating case.
Even though the remaining sections were eligible for station bail, Rao said the police denied him station bail at the behest of Congress.
The former minister said that Congress had filed eight cases so far against Krishank just for raising the issues of the public. Even though he raised issues like felling of trees at Kancha Gachibowli, harassment of a Miss England, leakage of 10th class question papers and several others, the former minister said Congress filed cases against Krishank instead of sending the culprits involved behind bars.
Rao accused Revanth of acting like the notorious German dictator Adolf Hitler. Rao demanded the government to release Krishank from jail besides removing all the false cases filed against him with immediate effect.
Accusing the Congress government of repeatedly arresting BRS leaders by issuing PT warrants, Rao said that they will not go back even if they file false charges against them. Stating that the people of the State were watching Congress activity closely, Rao said that people will teach a lesson to them.
The former minister said that the Congress government failed to procure maize, sunflower, Bengal gram, jowar and paddy. He said that Revanth turned a blind eye as millers cut 5 to 6 kg of paddy per quintal. Meanwhile, Rao said that the paddy procurement was going at a snail’s pace due to lack of gunny bags, paddy cleaners and transportation vehicles.
Terming Revanth’s ryot declaration bogus, he said that the Congress government failed to even extend the bonus to fine variety rice. MLAs Chintha Prabhakar, K Manik Rao and others were present.
