Congress files complaint against BRS MLA T Harish Rao over poll code violation
Congress filed a complaint with Telangana CEO C Sudarshan Reddy against BRS MLA T Harish Rao for holding a press conference and commenting on contesting parties during the election silent period, demanding immediate action for violating the Model Code of Conduct
HYDERABAD: The Congress has filed a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy against BRS MLA T Harish Rao for conducting a press conference during the silent period and violating the poll code.
TPCC Election Commission Coordination Committee chairman P Rajesh Kumar, in the complaint, charged that Harish Rao had conducted a press conference outside the CEO’s office. The BRS MLA had also commented on the contesting political parties, he said.
As per the Model Code of Conduct, this was a violation and immediate action should be taken against Harish Rao, he demanded.
