Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao said development had come to a standstill in Siddipet after the Congress came to power. Addressing the BRS youth wing leaders in Nanganur on Sunday, the former Minister said the government cancelled many development works midway, after coming to power.
Harish Rao recalled how Siddipet had won multiple awards, by achieving tremendous progress during the previous decade under the BRS rule. He said works such as developing Ranganayaka Sagar into a tourist hub, building Shilparamam, and laying roads to the government hospital in Siddipet were stalled for reasons known to the government.
He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was taking the Government Veterinary College sanctioned by the BRS government to Siddipet to his Kodangal constituency. The former Minister also demanded the response of Siddipet Congress leaders on the government’s decision to stop development works in the constituency. He vowed that he would fight for the constituency to get its due share of funds.
On the Congress government stalling many initiates former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had initiated, Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy stopped KCR Kits, nutrition kits, Bathukamma sarees, Dalit Bandhu, BC Bandhu, Christmas and Ramzan gifts.
Stating that youth had a key role in politics in BRS, Harish Rao called upon them to take the failures of the Congress government to the public to strengthen the BRS. He said the party would certainly win the coming elections.
