Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao said the functioning of the government hospital in Siddipet was paralysed as the government was neglecting the health sector.

Addressing a gathering after distributing Rs 31.67 lakh CMRF cheques to 143 beneficiaries at his camp office on Wednesday, Rao said the government had stopped distributing KCR kits and nutrition kits to patients coming to government hospitals.

He recalled how the BRS government led by K Chandrashekhar Rao had given top priority to the health sector during their 10 years of rule. Earlier, he distributed Rs 2 lakh insurance cheque to an auto driver’s family who died recently.

Rao said that the group insurance scheme that was launched by forming the auto cooperative society has been benefitting many. The former minister also feliciated 10th class girl Irla Soumya who scored 58 marks out of 60 in a mathematics talent test conducted by Telangana Maths Forum. EOM
