Khammam: Having been in power for the past two and a half years, the Chief Minister and Ministers were engaged in diversion politics without addressing the problems plaguing the State, alleged the district BRS leaders.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, the party district in-charge, MLC Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was passing time with petty tricks without fulfilling the promises such as Rs 12,000 to farm labourers, Rs 15,000 to tenant farmers, Rs 2,500 to women and one tola gold to newlyweds under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
Referring to the allegations of previous BRS regime incurring a debt of Rs 4 lakh crore in ten years, he said with that money Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao developed electricity infrastructure worth Rs 1.35 lakh crore, built the Kaleshwaram project, repaired 48,000 tanks with Mission Kakatiya, provided drinking water to every household and built medical colleges.
Ravinder Rao sought to know what the Congress government achieved with Rs 4 lakh crore worth debt incurred in the past two and a half years. The government failed to a construct a single project since it came to power, he said
MLC Tata Madhusudhan said that when the opposition was questioning the Congress ministers about Singareni scam, Gurukul tender scam, Musi riverfront project, Future City and Lagacharla they were abusing the BRS leaders as they did not have the courage to answer.
Calling Revanth Reddy and Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy ‘political adulterers’, Madhusudhan said though associated with the Congress, they both were in touch with the BJP while Srinivas Reddy bowed to the Centre due to fear of ED raids.
Madhusudhan accused the Minister Srinivas Reddy of betraying Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister YS Jagan in the past, defeating Tummala Nageswara Rao in Palair, Madan Lal in Wyra, and Jalagam Venkat Rao in Kothagudem when he was in BRS in 2018.
Senior BRS leaders Gundala Krishna, L Kamal Raj, Kurakula Nagabhushanam and others were present.
