RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: BRS leader and Vemulawada constituency in-charge, Chalmeda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, found fault with the Congress government for indulging in vendetta politics in Vemulawada. The process being followed in the expansion of roads in Vemulawada town was a classic example of it.
Lakshmi Narasimha Rao on Tuesday examined the demolition process being taken up in the Vemulawada temple town. Speaking on the occasion, he found fault with the officials for taking up the demolition process without paying compensation, even adequate time to vacate their houses. Oustees were not given time, even if they requested the local MLA, Adi Srinivas.
Soil stocks and debris of demolished houses were appearing on either side of the road. Local people and devotees were facing trouble walking on the road and reaching Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple. However, the local MLA was least bothered about clearing the debris. Thirty houses were identified for demolition for the construction of the second bridge across Mulavagu, he said and questioned where was the need to continue the demolition process during the night.
Traders, who were leading life since longtime by depending on the temple, were losing their income sources with the demolition of structures in the name of road expansion. Referring to MLA’s comments that Congress government was developing temple town which was not done by BRS during its ten year regime, Lakshi Narasimha Rao said that BRS never indulged in vendetta politics like the Congress.
