Congress leader booked for abusing municipal commissioner in Mancherial

A Congress leader, Suddapelli Susheel, has been booked in Mancherial after allegedly abusing the Chennur municipal commissioner and spreading baseless allegations against civic officials on social media.

Mancherial: A Congress leader was booked on charges of abusing Chennur municipal commissioner and for spreading baseless allegations against civic officials on social media platforms, on Thursday evening.

Police said that a case was registered against Suddapelli Susheel, a town-level leader of the Congress and husband of a councillor, following a complaint received from the commissioner.

As per the complaint, Susheel abused the commissioner using objectionable language during a meeting held in his chamber over sanctioning grants regarding the cost of saplings planted under Telanganaku Haritha Haram in the past. He then levelled false allegations stating that the civic officials misappropriated cash deposited by the contestants of the recent municipal elections.
