Congress leaders fight in Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of Ministers
A Congress meeting at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad witnessed chaos after leaders allegedly exchanged blows and argued over protocol issues. The incident occurred in the presence of Ministers Mohd Azharuddin and Ponnam Prabhakar, forcing the meeting to end abruptly
Hyderabad: Ruckus prevailed at the Congress Hyderabad Parliament constituency meeting in Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday after a few leaders exchanged blows and engaged in heated arguments over protocol.
All this happened in front of Minorities Welfare Minister Mohd Azharuddin and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Arguments broke out between senior leader Feroz Khan and another leader, Osman Ali Hajri, over sharing the stage with the Ministers.
Objecting to Feroz Khan’s demand, Osman Ali Hajri allegedly pushed him to the ground. Government Advisor V Hanumanth Rao and Congress MP Anil Kumar Yadav tried to control the situation, but the senior Congress leader was also pushed aside by Osman Ali Hajri’s supporters.
Videos and pictures of the ruckus at Gandhi Bhavan were circulated on social media platforms. Irked by the scenes, Mohd Azharuddin left the venue and Ponnam Prabhakar abruptly declared that the meeting had concluded.
