Congress lost public trust within a year, says BRS leader B Vinod Kumar

It was the Congress party that lost public support within just a year, he said while addressing reporters on Friday. In general, opposition to a ruling party tends to build over two to two-and-a-half years, but in this case, the Congress has faced backlash within its first year, especially from rural communities discussing the government's failures.

Usually, the opposition for a political parties would grow after two to two and half years in power. However, the congress party got it within one year.

Talking about BRS silver jubilee celebrations, he said that a huge meeting is going to be organized at Elkathurthy of Warangal district on April 27.

Meeting arrangements are being made on 12 acres. Farmers, who gave their lands for the BRS meeting, themselves were engaged in arrangements, he informed and said that he felt happy after seeing them.

BRS, which formed 25 years ago with a slogan of separate Telangana, achieved the state after a relentless struggle under the leadership of its president K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved a separate state, also developed Telangana on all fronts during ten years tenure of BRS.

Local MLA Gangula Kamalakar wanted the government not to stall the development of Karimnagar town.

Commenting on Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar’s statement that Musi river would be developed on the lines of Sabarmati river in Gujarat, the legislature questioned as to why the works of Manair River Front in Karimnagar were stalled.

Prabhakar, who was talking about the Musi project, which has not yet got administrative sanction and other nods, was least bothered about MRF. Besides having all the permissions, the Tourism department has also started work with Rs 100 crore.

However, the works were stalled after the congress government came to power. Three ministers representing the district should take initiatives and complete MRF works by June.

Cable bridge wore darkness due to lack of lighting, he said.
