Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao took a sharp dig at the Congress government, stating that April Fools’ Day was now termed “Congress Manifesto Day” in Telangana. In a brief but pointed remark, KTR took to social media and stated that the event has been ongoing since December 3, 2023, the day the Congress assumed power in the state.

The remarks were a direct attack on the government’s alleged failure to implement its electoral promises, with the BRS intensifying its criticism over the pace and delivery of key assurances.

Rama Rao is currently on a week-long visit to the United States, where he is scheduled to participate in the Columbia India Business Conference 2026 at Columbia University in New York. He will deliver a keynote address on “India’s Rise: Rewriting the Global Business Playbook,” putting Telangana’s growth story on an international platform.
