Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy slams HYDRAA, alleges irregularities

HYDERABAD: Congress MLA from Jadcherla J Anirudh Reddy slammed the Hyderabad Disaster Management and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) and alleged that the agency was involved in several irregularities.
The Jadcherla MLA has been very critical about the functioning of HYDRAA. “When a complaint is lodged against any issue, no acknowledgement receipt is issued by the agency,” Anirudh Reddy charged.
The Congress MLA also alleged that the HYDRAA was involved in several irregularities. After serving notices to project managements and structure owners, the agency was performing ‘transactions’, he alleged during an informal chat with media persons in the Assembly. “I have all the evidence and the same will be put in public domain,” he said.
Anirudh Reddy has been complaining about violations by a leading project at Kothakunta in Khajaguda limits. He claimed that there was no response from HYDRAA when a complaint was lodged over the issue.
“Despite repeated phone calls, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath does not respond. If this was the case with an MLA, one can imagine the plight of the general public,” Anirudh Reddy said. Since Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy handles the MAUD portfolio, the matter would be taken up with him, he added.
Since the last few days, the Congress MLA has been very vocal about HYDRAA and its functioning. Last month, after a secret dinner meeting with other Congress MLAs, the Jadcharla MLA had also charged about irregularities, especially with regard to government lands in the Revenue department.
He also challenged Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi to make public the details of a file he had asked for and said he would take up the issue with the party high command.
