HYDERABAD: Congress MLA from Bhupalpally Gandra Satyanarayana exposed the irregularities in release of fishlings and demanded the State government to initiate stern action against the contractor.

During the Zero Hour in the Assembly, the Congress MLA said he along with Minister D Anasuya had formally released fishlings into the lake. However, the contractor had to release 8 lakh fishlings but he had released only 1.30 lakh, the MLA said. The contractor was hand in glove with a few officers and there were similar complaints against him across the State. Action should be initiated against the contractor as per law, he demanded.
