HYDERABAD: Courting controversy, Congress MP from Bhongir C Kiran Kumar Reddy stated there were no deer in the Kancha Gachibowli lands and charged that a false campaign was being run by a few vested interest groups.
Staying oblivious to the fact that the Telangana High Court Registrar had submitted an interim report saying peacocks, deer and other birds were noticed in the contentious lands, the Bhongir MP said there could have been a few peacocks.
“Generally in vast open lands, peacocks were noticed. Visitors at KBR Park often come across peacocks and at my lands in Chevella, one can notice peacocks regularly,” he said at a press conference in New Delhi on Friday.
“These days, even in the original jungles, deer are not to be seen but here false campaigns are being run about the presence of deer in the lands,” Kiran Kumar Reddy charged.
A few people affiliated to political parties were sharing false images and videos on social media platforms to mislead people, he said, adding, “It is all artificial drama”.
