Hyderabad: The Bandi episode, which generated much political heat, is also a discussion point among the Congress leaders, who are now openly finding fault with the government for its inept handling of the POCSO case registered against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay’s son Bandi Bageerath.

Following mounting criticism, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had responded after three days of the POCSO case being registered against the accused at Petbasheerabad police station.

On Monday, the CMO stated that he had questioned DGP CV Anand as to why no action was taken even after an FIR was registered.

Amock, an X user, whose status reads inspired by RG vision for inclusiveness, tagged the Chief Minister in a post on Tuesday and asked “When are you arresting him.”

However, fingers are being pointed at Telangana police as well for its delay in initiating action.

“Bad PR for Revanth Reddy in the POCSO case. Congress workers within the party and the general public are seething with anger over the government siding with a BJP Union Minister’s son,” Praveen, an X user said.

“The police have been badly exposed, as goons openly circulated photos of the victim and her family on social media, yet the police failed to even issue a warning,” he added.

Tushar Mangl, another X user said “The Congress party headquarters should do something. Please don’t take public support for granted,”
