Khammam: The Congress government has been dilly-dallying implementation of a 42 percent quota to BCs to prevent them from getting their rightful political share, alleged BJP state president N Ramachander Rao.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he said the BJP was committed to a 42 percent quota to BCs but opposed any religion based reservations. Allocating 10 percent reservations to Muslims within the 42 percent quota was not acceptable, he said.
Congress, known for its divisive politics, was engaging in caste and religion-based politics. There were 27 BCs in the Union Cabinet while only three ministers belong to the BC community in the Telangana Cabinet, he said.
