Hyderabad: TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that the party will announce its candidate for Dubbak by-election on Wednesday. He will be camping in Dubbak till the elections are over.
Addressing the media through video conference on Tuesday, he said that Dubbak by-election was crucial for the future of the entire State and not just the party candidate. “People must vote for Congress to defeat the TRS candidate to usher in a change in the way politics is practiced in the State.” he said. He alleged that the ruling party was trying to win the elections with the help of money power.
Earlier, Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, son of late TRS leader Cheruku Mutyam Reddy, joined Congress in the presence of the TPCC chief and several other senior leaders from erstwhile Medak district including former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Srinivas Reddy has a bright future in the party and his father had served Dubbak constituency for a long time.
Former Minister G Geetha Reddy said party workers must work hard for victory in Dubbak considering it as a pre-finals for the next Assembly elections. .
