Khammam: Even the opposition parties are get impressed with the welfare and development programmes being implemented in the State by the TRS government, Zilla Parishad Chairman Lingala Kamalraj said, on Thursday. He was addressing the TRS party meeting at Patarlapadu village of Chintakani mandal in the district where hundreds of workers from the Congress and various other political parties joined the TRS.

Kamalraj said that it was a matter of great pleasure to see the large scale development and welfare programmes being carried out by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao attracting cadres of the opposition parties’ into TRS. He thanked all those who had joined the TRS and said dalits in Chintakani mandal were happy as the mandal was selected for the implementation of Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme on pilot basis.

The ZP Chairman suggested that both the old-timers and newcomers have to work together to strengthen the party at grassroots level. The TRS was the only party that cared for the welfare of the downtrodden sections, he noted.

Dalit Bandhu was going to transform the lives of the dalit families in the mandal as the scheme aimed to promote entrepreneurship among the community members to free them from poverty, Kamalraj said. Sarpanch Kandra Pitchaiah and PACS Chairman Nallamotu Seshagiri and others were present.

Several BJP workers join TRS

Siddipet: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy said that development in the State was possible only with the TRS government. “Opposition parties’ cadres are keen on joining TRS because they have realised the importance and efficacy of developmental and welfare schemes introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao,” he said.

The MP was speaking after welcoming into the TRS fold BJP youth wing members from Konaipally village in Doulathabad Mandal at his camp office in Hyderabad on Thursday. TRS, he said, always takes care of its cadre.

Mandal party president Ranam Srinivas Goud, MPP Shekar Reddy, Market Committee Chairman Srinivas, Zilla Parishad Co-option member MD Raheem and others were present.
