Khammam: All India Progressive Kisan Mazdoor Sangh (AIPKMS) Khammam district committee has demanded the State government to consider farmers with three acres land holding as farm labourers and extend the financial assistance Rs 12, 000 as promised by the government.

The committee submitted a memoerandum to additional Collector Srinivasa Reddy here on Monday.

The sangh leaders Bandela Venkaiah and Timmidi Hanumantha Rao wanted the government to take immediate steps to extend the financial assistance to the landless agriculture labourers.

The Congress party promised to give Rs 12,000 financial assistance per year to the poor farm labourers after it comes to power. But even after one year the government failed to deliver the promise, they complained.
