Collector congratulates trainees on completing training without getting infected pandemic
Adilabad: Collector Sikta Patnaik said that constables play a vital role in protection of law and order. She was addressing trainee constables who presented a passing parade at the District Police Training Centre here on Friday. She was joined by Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier. A total of 166 constables successfully completed their nine-month long rigorous training at the centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Sikta opined that the constables form the foundation of police department. She suggested them to lay special focus on ensuring safety to women. She said that the department comparatively enjoys special respect in the society. She sought them to carry forward discipline and time management learned as part of the training.
The IAS officer said that a major of the candidates had post-graduation degrees and hoped they would render better quality services. She congratulated the trainees on completing the training without getting infected Covid pandemic. She appreciated them for taking preventive measures and keeping the acute respiratory disease. She added that Adilabad policemen always stand out.
Warrier said that the trainees were specially taught leadership qualities. He opined that only policemen would discharge duties round the clock and they were fortunate to serve the public. He advised them to render selfless service to the department and back up the victims. He added that the department was crucial in eradicating various menaces such as terrorism, naxalism and cybercrimes that the country was facing.
The IPS officer advised the trainees to bring recognition to the department and centre. He sought them to be emotionally and mentally strong while discharging duties. He then handed medals to top performing candidates. Earlier, both the Collector and the Superintendent received the guard of honour presented by the trainees which enthralled audiences.
Principal of the Centre S Srinivas Rao, Additional SP B Vinod Kumar, Reserve Inspector O Sudhakar Rao, Inspectors P Gangadhar, P Srinivas and Sub-Inspectors T Ramesh, J Chandrasekhar, M Ushanna, Shaik Abdul Baqi, Anwar Ul-Huq were present.
