Hyderabad: Mild panic prevailed at the Police Officers’ Mess in Masab Tank on Monday after the service rifle of a constable misfired.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to initial reports, Vinod, a security constable posted at the mess, was cleaning his Single Loading Rifle when it accidentally discharged. Although no one was injured, the sudden gunshot caused brief panic among those present at the facility.
Upon receiving information, Masab Tank police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
