Karimnagar: Satavahana University Vice Chancellor, Prof S Mallesh opined that comprehensive research was possible only with continuous observation. Developed countries were giving top priority for research since the roots of human evolution were there in the research, VC informed while participating as chief guest in a two-day national workshop on ‘Research Methodology’ organized by the Department of Computer Science, SRR Government Arts and Science College here on Monday.

Informing that there were different research methods depending upon research topics, he advised research scholars to complete their research works by utilizing technology. VC assured to develop SRR Government Arts and Science College as a ‘research center’ since the college got autonomous status recently. Vice Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University, Karnataka, Prof K Byrappa opined that the new education policy was helping to take up new research. Moreover, the line was cleared to take up research with national institutions in a cooperation method.

Instead of confining them to get PhD certificates, research should be continued forever, he opined. Participating in the afternoon session, Prof B Umamaheshwr Rao from Central University of Kerala, emphasized the need to take up innovative researches and old researches should not be repeated. He explained a few techniques in search.

Former VC, Central University of Hyderabad, Prof B Rajashekhar emphasized that research scholars should keep market needs in mind while continuing research if they want productivity in the research. Satavahana University Registrar Dr M Varaprasad, Academic Cell Director Dr V Ramesh, SRR college principal Dr K Ramakrishna, vice principal M Himabindu and others were present.
