Hyderabad: Superstar Mahesh Babu on Wednesday thanked nurses whose efforts stood as pillars during the pandemic. Marking International Nurses Day, Mahesh tweeted saying, “A big thank you for healing the world with your compassion, empathy, and strength..for teaching us never to lose hope. We stand together in support and gratitude now and always.”
In another tweet, the Superstar said, “The Covid-19 second wave has been a challenging ordeal for all of us. Let’s all be responsible. I urge you all to stay home and follow the lockdown protocols in our state.”
The Srimanthudu actor further said the nurses’ contribution has been unparalleled. “This one is for all our nurses on the frontlines battling the Covid-19 second wave under such difficult circumstances… Your extraordinary contribution is unparalleled,” reads out his third tweet.
International Nurses Day (IND) is observed around the world on May 12 (the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth) of each year, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society.
