Siddipet: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy on Sunday demanded the State unit of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao to convince Prime Minister Narendra Modi to purchase paddy from Telangana government instead of criticising Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Countering BJP MLA Ragunandan Rao’s comments on the Chief Minister, the Medak MP addressed a press conference where he said the Union government’s decision not to purchase para boiled rice from Telangana has created confusion among the farmers who were preparing for Yasangi cultivation. Reddy asked the Centre to clear the clouds on this matter. He further demanded the State BJP to pursue the issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get a positive announcement on paddy procurement.
Since BJP MLA Ragunandan Rao was saying that he has got sanctioned the under pass bridges at various places along the national highway, the Medak MP said that he had got them granted even before Ragunandan Rao become MLA.
