Hyderabad: A Avanish (64), Vignesh Reddy (59) and CP Venkatesh (50) hit half-centuries as Hyderabad took a crucial 87-run first innings lead against Bengal on the second day of the Elite Group D Cooch Behar match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Replying to Bengal’s 219 first innings total, Hyderabad, who resumed at the overnight score of 18/0, were all out for 306 runs in 98 overs. Avanish hit 10 boundaries in his 114-run essay while Vignesh slammed eight boundaries in his 107-ball innings. Venktaesh, in his 75-ball innings, slammed seven boundaries and a six. For Bengal, Sayed Irfan Aftab and Toufik Uddin took three wickets each while Debopratim Halder scalped two.
