Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s decision to bowl first back-fired as Andhra opener S Venkata Rahul hit 111 while KS Raju scored an unbeaten 72 to guide their side to 254/3 at stumps on the first day of the Under-19 Elite Group D Cooch Behar match in New Delhi on Monday.
After adding 70 runs for the opening wicket with B Sujha, Venkat (111 off 202; 18×4) and KS Raju (209 balls/ 13×4) added 141 runs for the second wicket before the former returned to pavilion as a run out.
