Adilabad: Adilabad District Collector Sikta Patnaik directed the officials concerned to extend their cooperation to a two-member Central team that was touring Adilabad district to inspect works taken up under the Centrally-sponsored funds in five mandals, from October 18 to 24.
Addressing a meeting with officials of various departments here on Friday, Sikta said Dr M Muttu Kumar and Dr K Devan would verify the progress of the works taken up in the district under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Deen Dayala Anthyodaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, National Social Assistance programme, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Sinchayi Yojana, etc.
The Collector said the team would cover various villages in Boath, Echoda, Gudihathnoor, Indervelli and Narnoor mandals during the six day-tour. She requested the officials to explain the details of the works. She informed that the steps were being taken to ensure transparency and speedy execution of the projects granted to the district with the help of the Centrally-sponsored funds.
Additional Collector (local bodies) Rizwan Basha, District Rural Development Officer Kishan, Additional DRDO Ravinder Rathod, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas and many other officials were present.
