Nalgonda: TRS MLC Gutha Sukender Reddy on Sunday asked the people to cooperate with the health workers to conduct of door-to-door fever survey in the district.

He and Miryalaguda MLA Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao visited the 36th ward, where health workers were conducting the fever survey on Sunday. He said the fever survey yielded good results in tackling the second wave of Covid-19.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukhender Reddy said that the staff of the Health Department, municipalities and grama panchayats should work in coordination for carrying out fever survey. People should not panic but follow the Covid appropriate behavior. The State government has already completed arrangements to tackle the third wave of Covid-19. Two crore testing kits and one crore isolation kits have been readied in the State government, he added.

He reminded me that the fever survey, which was conducted on May 9, 2021, had helped bring down the positivity rate in the State. As per economic survey-2020-21, Telangana State has succeeded in tackling the conditions that arose due to the Covid pandemic.

He said that the health workers would provide isolation kits to persons, who had symptoms of fever, cough, throat pain and body pains. He urged people not to hide details of their health condition and describe all the symptoms when health workers visit their houses. People need not also approach private hospitals for treatment and spend huge sums of money for corona treatment. The State government has made required arrangements in the government hospitals to treat any number of patients. He suggested that people to get treatment at government hospitals if required.
