Cop goes into well to retrieve body of suicide victim in Vikarabad

The incident occurred at Kothlapur village of Tandur Mandal in Vikarabad. Local villagers had found the body in the well and alerted the police.

Hyderabad: With swimmers and local villagers refusing to retrieve the body of a man who died allegedly by suicide in a well, Karankote Sub-inspector Yedukondalu set an example by going down into the well himself and retrieving the body.

The incident occurred at Kothlapur village of Tandur Mandal in Vikarabad. Local villagers had found the body in the well and alerted the police.

SI Yedukondalu and his team, after reaching the spot enquired around if anyone from the village could get down into the well and retrieve the body, but none came forward.

Then Yedukondalu, using a rope and pulley, went down into the well and retrieved the body. A video of the SI’s action is making rounds in social media, earning him appreciation from different quarters.
