Mancherial: Moved by the plight of Covid-19 patients due to lack of liquid medical oxygen at both public and private hospitals, Ramagundam Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana ensured sufficient supply of oxygen and helped save lives.
Satyanarayana deputed Mancherial DCP Uday Kumar Reddy to provide the oxygen cylinders after learning about the shortage of oxygen through district surveillance officer Dr Balaji. In response, Uday Kumar spoke to manufacturers of the gas at Mustyala village in Kamanpur mandal of Peddapalli district and arranged 20 cylinders as against the requirement of 150.
The DCP deployed Srirampur Inspector B Koteshwar to transport the cylinders to Mancherial district and monitored the shipment of the remaining cylinders. The gesture of Commissioner of Police Satyanarayana and DCP Uday Kumar was appreciated by citizens. They were thanked by family members of the Covid positive patients, who were struggling to get the cylinders even after paying hefty charges.
