Mancherial: Ramagundam Police Commissioner S Chandrasekhar Reddy on Sunday said that a slew of social service activities were being taken up by the police as part of the people-friendly policing introduced by the State government.
He was speaking after inaugurating a mega health camp in Dandepalli mandal centre on Sunday to mark Police Commemoration Week.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrasekhar stated that police would always be ready to help the needy and serve the society. He said that the policemen were meant for the security of the public. He informed that various social activities and community policing programmes were being organised as part of the ongoing police martyrs’ commemoration week.
The IPS officer appreciated Luxetti circle police for conducting the camp for the convenience of people dwelling in remote parts of this region. He advised the rural folks to utilize the facility and thanked doctors for extending their cooperation.
Later, the Commissioner gave away volleyball kits to youngsters belonging to several villages.
Mancherial Deputy Commissioner of Police D Uday Kumar Reddy, ACP Akhil Mahajan, Luxettipet Inspector Kareemullah Khan and Dandepalli Sub-Inspector T Srikanth were present.
