Hyderabad: Coming forward to help the victims of the pandemic, the Cyberabad Police along with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) have launched a Child Care Response Centre in Hyderabad. The centres and individual caregivers have been identified and verified to make it safe for children whose parents are under treatment for Covid-19.
In many cases, couples who have been tested positive for Covid are either hospitalised, or in home quarantine. With no immediate relatives around, children were seen sharing the same facility or left alone at home unattended.
These ‘verified and safe stay’ for children will not just provide the basic childcare needs but also a round-the-clock care centre in tie-up with hospitals and doctors for health support. Child Care Centres and individual caregivers can register through the official SCSC portal — covid.scsc.in.
DCP (Women And Child Safety) C Anasuya said the She Teams along with SCSC teams would make the service available for children so that they also feel safe until their parents recover.
