Couple crushed to death in Adilabad
A couple from Toyaguda village in Adilabad district died after their motorcycle collided with a car and they were run over by a bus at Utnoor Crossroads.
Adilabad: A couple was killed when they came under the wheels of a bus after their motorcycle hit a car at Utnoor crossroads on Tuesday.
Police said that Pendur Laxman (50) from Thoyaguda village died on the spot, while his wife Shakubai sustained critical injuries when they came under the bus. Shakubai was immediately shifted to a hospital in Utnoor where she died while being treated.
Laxman was suspected to be attempting to overtake the car when the mishap occurred. They fell off the two-wheeler after hitting the car and were run over by the bus. The car and bus were also moving in the same direction. The couple was proceeding to Patnapur village to attend a wedding of Laxman’s nephew at the time of the incident.
A case was registered. Investigation was taken up.
