Couple hacked to death in sleep at construction site in Sangareddy
A migrant worker couple from Mahabubabad district was found murdered at a construction site in Indresham under Patancheru police station limits in Sangareddy district. Police suspect unidentified assailants killed them with sharp weapons while they were asleep
Sangareddy: A couple working at a construction site was found murdered at Indresham under the Patancheru police station limits during the intervening hours of Friday and Saturday. Unidentified miscreants are suspected to have beaten them to death with sharp weapons while they were asleep.
Somla Dasarath (50) and Manyamma (46), natives of Dongachintha Thanda in Gudur mandal of Mahabubabad district, had migrated to Indresham a few years ago in search of a livelihood. The couple were living in a hut close to the construction site where they were working. The murder of the couple in the middle of a residential colony created a sensation in the area.
On receiving information from locals, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to the government hospital in Patancheru for post-mortem.
The police pressed the clues team, forensic officials and dog squad into service to collect evidence and track the accused. They were also examining CCTV footage in the area to identify the killers.
A case was registered and investigation is on.
